Week 20, January 7th – 11th:

I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing winter break. As the second half of the year gets underway the students will be seeing a few changes. Beginning this week, the spelling lists will be based off of vocabulary words all third graders should know by the end of the year. Starting next week the students will also begin writing book reports and creating presentations about their chosen book. This will provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the book as well as showcase their planning and creative skills. Each of the book reports and projects will be completed at home allowing students to put as little or as much effort as they choose into their work. This will be a wonderful opportunity for those students who always go the extra mile to display their hard work.
